"Next Generation Science Standards"
The Theory Behind Designing Science Lessons
In 2013, the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS) were published, based on the Framework for K–12 Science Education developed by the National Research Council. The NGSS establish standards across STEM disciplines and grades to provide all students with an internationally benchmarked science education. They also serve as guides for creating experiments appropriate to students' age levels.
